For founder and executive chef Jeff Rehnberg, GFreedom Bakery's mission is personal! Growing up, Jeff's family always struggled with food safety and allergies, with his mother and two sisters diagnosed with Celiac Disease and forced to maintain a gluten-free diet. And now, a generation later, Jeff's daughter has suffered from Allergic Eosinophilic Esophagitis since age 3, a chronic inflammatory condition caused by allergies to 7 major foods. At Rehnberg family reunions, it wouldn't be uncommon to make 3-4 versions of the same meal!
After a lifetime of serving others in the hospitality industry, Jeff began his second career by enrolling in culinary school. His motivation was to learn the science and art behind high-quality food, ensuring that those with food restrictions still have access to gourmet cooking. Once armed with a formal culinary training and a passion for serving, Jeff founded GFreedom Bakery, embarking upon his mission to provide memorable culinary experiences to those who struggle with food restrictions. Jeff wants to prove that Freedom From Gluten can be both safe and delicious!
